Modest Mouse’s new album, We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank, is set for a release of March 20th. I’ve been waiting for this album for awhile. Modest Mouse has quickly become one of my favorite artists. Well, I got ahold of the leaked version recently and as I type, I’m listening to it. I’m about 9 songs through the album and I’m loving it.

The first single off their new album is “Dashboard,” which is pretty good, though by far not my favorite track on the album. It’s very rare that an album can take me on an emotional trip on the first go-around. But, this is exactly what Modest Mouse is doing with this one. By the way, when you get a chance to get a copy, my favorite songs, so far, are “Florida,” “Education,” and “Little Motel.”
