i am awesome

This my friends, is why I am awesomeness in a can

Today started off like any normal day.  I felt completely fine.  Actually, it was a pretty good day.  Around mid-way through the day, I started to get a sore throat.  I don’t usually think much of sore throats, because when I get sick I usually get an itchy throat.  Well, of course this is the one time that had to be different.  Right after dinner, I realized that I had a fever.  I took my temperature.  It was 101.5 (which by the way, happens to be a crappy radio station here in podunk) and I took some Tylenol, even though it kinda makes me sick.  But I didn’t want to have a fever.

Now, we’ve been having a bit of a snow storm here.  We’re supposed to get 18 inches, but I can tell you that we’ve gotten way more than 18 inches.  My family knows I’m sick.  They know I don’t feel well.  In fact, I’ll go so far as to say that I feel like shit.  I don’t know how many times I’ve said this, but, my mom can’t shovel snow because she had back surgery and my dad can’t do it because he’s simply just too fat.  That leaves me and two of my little sisters to handle the shoveling.

What do you think happened?  My sisters, who are 12 and 14, completely start whining when my mom suggests that they go shovel.  Spoiled brats that they are get their way.  I, being an amazingly awesome son, said I would do it when my fever wasn’t so high.  My sisters kept coming in my room asking when I was going to shovel every 10 frickin minutes.  I finally just gave up and went and shoveled with a 102 degree fever.

Don’t say I never did anything for you, because I could very well get pneumonia for the second time in a month because of what I just did.
