Global Warming Goes to Court

New York and Massachusetts, plus 10 other states, are suing the E.P.A. “for failing to properly do its job,” citing that “the Clean Air Act requires the E.P.A. to impose limits on carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases emitted by new cars.”  I’ll be interested to see the outcome, considering that the Bush administration claims that the E.P.A. doesn’t have the power to impose limits on carbon dioxide, and they also claim the greenhouse gases are not considered to be air pollutants under the Clean Air Act.  Link
